Passed away peacefully, at Lisaard House, Cambridge, on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in her 90th year.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Herb; of 65 years, her daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Ed Brittain; and her two cherished granddaughters, Jenna Brittain (Pete Brodimas) and Tricia Brittain (Wes de Jonge). She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Elgie of Waterloo and brother, Arthur Morrison of Nova Scotia as well as many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, William and Cecelia Morrison; her step-father, Alan Caldwell, and her sister, Dorothy Morrison.
Joan was actively involved with First Baptist Church in Waterloo. In addition to her faith, she will be remembered by all for her love of family, especially her granddaughters, and her love of gardening.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Joan with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb Street West, Waterloo on Wednesday, January 9th at 1:00 pm with Pastor Robert Snell officiating. A family graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery.
