<h1>Joseph Kempel</h1> JOSEPH WENDEL KEMPEL 1927 - 2008 Passed away with family by his side on Thursday January 3, 2008 in his 81st year after a very lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. Loving husband of 42 years of the late Betty (nee Schulz) . Loving father to Karen Savage, Kelly Kempel and her husband Stewart McCuaig, Joseph Kempel and his wife Christina, and Eliza-Kate Kempel. Joe was also the proud grandfather to Katherine, Meaghan, Thomas, Jessica, Samuel, Phoenicia and Stephanie who loved to visit and entertain Grandpa. Joe worked for over 40 years at Carling and Labatt Breweries. After work he could be found playing snooker and was profiled in the Record in 1976 as the best native snooker player in Kitchener. Joe’s commitment was always to his family and he spent many hours in arenas and at ball diamonds being the quiet and consistent fan. Special thanks to the staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre for the kindness and care they have shown Joe over the years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joseph with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday January 6, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday January 7, 2008 at 7 pm. Reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
