<h1>Shirley Grein</h1> SHIRLEY GREIN (nee Schneider) 1939 – 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, cherished mother-in-law and adored “Grandma”, Shirley Agnes Grein at Freeport Health Centre on January 15, 2010. Strong and courageous to the end, she fought a good fight. Shirley will always remain in the heart of her son, Scott and daughter-in-law Kari, her daughter Christina and Shirley’s former spouse and friend, Paul Grein. Cherished Grandma to Adam, Drew and Brock. Survived by her brother Ronald “Ron” and his wife, Carol Schneider of Waterloo, her nieces, Susan (Jim), Bev (Al), Nancy (Joe) and Janice (Larry) and brothers-in-law, Vic Aubin and Harold Moser. Predeceased by her daughter, Tracey (December 31, 1977), parents Hilda and Andrew Peter Schneider of Mildmay, her sisters Beatrice “Bea” Aubin and Dorothy Moser. Shirley grew up in Mildmay and moved to Waterloo in 1956 to work. She worked at the Metropolitan, Vince’s IGA and Zehrs before starting a family in 1970. After raising her family she returned to the work force and was employed with ComCare, helping others and then retired in 2004. She was a long time member of St. Agnes Church in Waterloo prior to moving to Kitchener in 1993. She loved taking drives in her car and spending time with her grandchildren. We would like to thank everyone who cared for Shirley at home, Grand River Cancer Centre and Freeport Hospital. Visitation will be held at Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Parish Prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. with Father Piotr Machnaki as celebrant. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
