<h1>Cyril Slough</h1> 1920 – 2010 With the wind at his back, a twinkle in his eye and the sun on his face, Cyril Joseph MacCarten Slough in his 90th year set sail to his heavenly port of call on January 15, 2010 to rejoin his beloved wife, Mary and son, Michael. He leaves behind a life well lived, filled with love, laughter and adventure. A proud Irishmen, Saskatoon native, Royal Canadian Air Forceman, devoted Roman Catholic, Knights of Columbus member, son, brother, husband, father and friend. Cy was gently set course to his new heavenly life with no regrets surrounded by his children, Sean and Steph, Carol and John, Susan and Paul as well as his grandchildren, Colin, Aaron, Michael, Jacob, Alexandra, Hanna and Colton. Cy is survived by his brother Brendan and Rose Slough of St. Bruno, Quebec. Predeceased by his brother Cormac and Beverly Slough and parents, Percy and Rose Slough. Special acknowledgement to our “Waterloo family” including, Jim and Lois Graham, our George Street neighbours, spiritual guidance of Anne Marie Webster. Our angels of care at HomeInstead, Terrace on the Square, Amica at London and the London University Hospital staff who all provided Cy with the utmost dignity, kindness, care and peace as he journeyed through his life. A celebration of Cy’s life will occur at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Tim Uniac as celebrant. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
