Doris died peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Lisaard House, after a very long and very courageous battle with cancer. She was 73.
Married to Dennis in 1959. Survived by daughter, Tori Kaufman (Tim); grandchildren, Joshua (Mandy), Tyler and Joel (Angie) Saunders, Mitchell and Coral Kaufman; great-grandson, Andrew Saunders; sister, Betty (Dave) Davidson; brother, Dan (Mary) Rieck; in-laws, Jerry (Barb), Ted (Donna) and Gary Saunders and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by son, Troy Saunders; sisters, Jean Elsby and Marjorie Slater and parents, Gordon and Edna Rieck.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Doris with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, February 10 from 6-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Neil Thomsen officiating. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
