James passed away, peacefully, at The Westmount in Kitchener.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Yvonne, his daughters Sandra and JoAnne, and his son Chris and daughter-in-law Daryl, as well as his sister Pat Brunel, nephew Louis Brunel (Kerry), great-nephew Aaron Brunel, and brother Herbert Ford.
Jim came to Canada from Barbados in 1951 to attend university. He taught Chemical Engineering at University of Waterloo for 31 years. He will be remembered for his involvement in Waterloo Minor Soccer.
The family would like to thank caregivers at Westmount, the CCAC, and Robertson Brown and Drs. Bauman and Carothers for their excellent care.
Cremation will take place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 2 to 3 pm with the memorial service following in the chapel at 3 pm.
Reception will follow at the funeral home.
