<h1>Ida Philp</h1> 1929 – 2009 Peacefully surrounded by her family on February 28, 2009 at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 79. Ida then gave the gift of life to others through the Trillium Foundation. Loving mother of Jim Philp (Susan) of Kitchener, Nancy Rickard (Brian) of Woodstock, Bill Philp (Charlotte) of St. Catharines and Cathy Lippert (Murray) of Kitchener. Devoted nana and grandmother of Allana Philp (Rob Barry), Robert Philp, Nicole Bennett (Steve), Andrea Philp and Paula Philp (Darryl Allen), Derek Rickard (Chantal), Brad Rickard (Heather), and Sarah, David and Matthew Lippert. Great-grandmother of Vanessa and Joshua Bennett, Maxime and Marisol Rickard and Logan Philp-Barry. Also survived by her brother Bill McDougall (Norma) and sisters Jean Morrison, June O’Neil and Helen Farrell. Predeceased by her beloved husband Howard Philp in 1977; her brother Herb McDougall; sisters, Eva Allison, Annie Nixon, Margaret Arnold and Mary Morrison; and by her parents Archie McDougall and Mary (nee Riley). Ida was an active member of Blessed Sacrament RC Church and was part of the C.W.L. for many years. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Parish Prayers at 3:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Ida’s life and faith will take place at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Malcom Katzenberger as celebrant. Reception will immediately follow the mass in the Parish Hall. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery in Arthur in the spring.
