Jim, age 93, passed away on February 28, 2009 at Grand River Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of the late Grace Mildred Evans Walker (1974). Cherished father of Donna Lee (Don ) Cousineau; Jim (Mary Anne) Walker and Penny Walker. Loving grandfather of Scott, Chris, Leanne, Jimmy, and Carrie Ann. Great grandfather of Kendra, Kyle, Alex, and Gavin. Brother of Isabel Mills. Special friend and companion for over 30 years of Marieta Leulo and her family.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Bill and Alice Walker and brother Bill Walker.
A special thank you is extended to the physicians, nurses and health care workers at Grand River Hospital who cared for Jim with great compassion during his final days.
To honour Jims wishes, there will be no period of visitation. A private family funeral service will be held.
