Obituary of Arthur Grimm

Arthur Grimm

1929-2010
It is with the heaviest of heart, that the family of Art Grimm informs others of his passing on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 after a brief illness in his 81st year.
Devoted husband and partner to the late Jean (1993) and selfless and caring father to David (1990). Together again.
Exemplary father and friend to Dennis and his wife Candice of Conestogo and to Dan and his wife Caren of Waterloo. Grampa extraordinaire to Alicia and Eric, Adam, Laura, and Louise. Best Friend of Cec Mayer and his family. Art will be missed by his many friends, neighbours, and his long time Hideaway Club members.
Art was a man who judged his own accomplishments by the success of others. An auto machinist by trade; however, being a husband and father was his real passion. There are those who talk about getting a job done and there are those that just quietly go about doing it. Without Art there will be many projects that will be left undone. If one is judged not by what they said during their sojourn on this earth but by what they did to make life better for others, we know that Art now owns the podium.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Art during visitation on Monday, March 1st, 2010 at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. At 2 p.m. a service celebrating his life will take place in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener, after which Arts family welcomes friends and family to join them in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the KW YMCA Resource Centre for the Jean Grimm Childrens Library. Donations may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445
