<h1>Sharon Joyner</h1> 1938 – 2007 Passed away peacefully at the KW Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Friday February 23, 2007. Beloved wife of Fred Joyner, loving mother and close friend of Melanie, dearly missed by Snowy the cat. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her brother Phillip Harris, brothers-in-law Dennis (Christine) Joyner, David Joyner, and John (Sheila) Joyner and sisters-in-law Irene Hryniuk, May (Michael) Davis and Joyce Higgs and many nieces and nephews. Sharon especially enjoyed the company of her dear friends; Mel and Maureen Schmidt, Don and Norma McIsaac, Graham and Lorna Aberdein, and Phil and Maryke Durrant and their families. Prior to retirement, Sharon worked in the Housewares Department at Eaton’s in Market Square, Kitchener and was a faithful member of Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She will be especially remembered for her kindness and her wonderful and wicked sense of humour, as well as her love of animals and nature. She was a volunteer for many years with the KW HELP Distress Line as well as dedicating many hours to the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club. Sharon will be remembered with great love by her family and many friends. The memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life and faith will be held at Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, at the corner of Westmount Road and Lourdes Street (one block south of Erb St.) in Waterloo on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 11 a.m., with Pastors Mark Harris and Tanya Ramer officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. In line with Sharon’s wishes her body has been donated for medical research.
