Obituary of Marilyn Scheifele

<h1>Marilyn Scheifele</h1> (Marilyn St. James) Passed away on Wed., Feb. 21, 2007. Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She taught as a primary specialist in Toronto, then taught english and studied singing in Rome Italy before settling in Manhattan and devoting her life to singing and acting. Stage performances included; South Pacific, Carousel, Pal Joey, Desert Song, and Fiddler on the Roof. Operas included; Carmen, Marriage of Figaro, Il Trovatore, and The Mikado. She wrote and performed “Great Women of Herstory” which enjoyed a run at the Elora Festival as well as many American venues. Marilyn is survived by brothers Grant and Warren Scheifele, sisters Jean Scheifele and Dorothy Gould, 11 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Clifford and Edith Scheifele Friends are invited to share their memories of Marilyn with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
