<h1>Colleen Owen</h1> 1929 – 2010 Peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the age of 80. Colleen Helen Owen (nee Costin), beloved bride, sweetheart and best friend of Douglas passed after 55 years of marriage. Loving mother of Denise, Mark (Barbara) and Jeffrey (Connie), all of Kitchener-Waterloo. Dearest of grandmothers to Nicole (Greg Haynes), Deana, Brooke, Andrew, Devin, Amanda, Quincy, Kelsey, Spencer, Olivia, Kristen and Charlotte. Sister to Blair (Penny), Jack (Marg), Gerald, and Bob (Janis) Costin. Predeceased by brothers, Neil and Carl Costin and parents, Alberta (nee Walser) (1944) and James Costin (1988). Colleen was born July 6, 1929 in Elora and raised her brothers from the age of 14 during a period of great adversity. She excelled in business college and work, providing design and decorating service for Doug Owen Home Construction thereafter for the next 35 years. Colleen was extremely dedicated to her family, and her consistent love and care for her husband, children and grandchildren, and their love for her, will remain timeless and never be forgotten. Relatives and friends may call at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, February 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 1 p.m., followed by a reception (location will be announced at a later time). Special thanks for all who gave such outstanding care to Colleen over the years due to her diabetes and dialysis needs.
