<h1>Walter Schmear</h1> (ZMIJA) 1912 - 2007 Passed away peacefully at K-W Heath Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday February 2, 2007, at the age of 94. Walter was predeceased by his loving wife, Bernice (nee Hahn), 2000. Dear brother of Emil Zmija, and Theresa Nafziger; brother-in-law of Adela and Olga Zmija. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Stefan and Sophia; brothers Ted, Tony, Alvin (Dorothy), Alloyes (Gertrude); and sister Annie (Tom Elbzy); sister-in-law Theresa Zmija; brother-in-law Edward Nafziger. During Walters’ lifetime he served his country in the Second World War and worked for Carlings Brewery for 32 years until his retirement. He then spent these special years in Sarasota, Florida. At Walter’s request, there will no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
