Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 80 years.
Beloved husband of the late Lola (nee Schneider) for 48 years.
Dearly loved father of Dale and Kristen, Christine and Dan, and Heather and Jeremy. Wonderful and devoted grandfather of Jason Leuzinger; Ben Karges, Amber Karges and Jordan Shaw; Kailey, Tyler, Nick and Alexander. Great-grandfather of Faith and Trinity
Brother of Ruby (Finley) McEwen.
Predeceased by his parents Caspar and Louise (nee Held) Leuzinger and his brother Donald (Peggy) and in-laws Clayton and Ruby (nee Witzel) Schneider.
In his youth Robert served his country as a paratrooper and Staff Sergeant with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry of the Canadian Army.
Robert was a former dedicated employee of Burns Meats for 33 years. He retired from Home Hardware Warehouse, St. Jacobs after 10 years and enjoyed being a resident of Waterloo Heights.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Robert with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 2 -4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11 am. Following the service everyone is invited to join the family in the Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to share memories.
Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
