Peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the age of 72.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Jean of 53 years, his three sons and their families Peter (Heather) of Mississauga, Derek (Sandy) of Orangeville and Bradley of Waterloo, and his cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Corey, Austin, Shane, Melissa, Rylee and Landon. Joe will also be remembered by his brother Nicholas Kennedy of Teeswater, sister Donelda (Harry) Millen of New Hamburg, and brothers and sisters in law, Edward Beninger, Betty Kennedy and Rita Kennedy. He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Agatha (nee: Willie) Kennedy, sister Gertrude Beninger, brothers Eugene Tim Kennedy, Jerome Kennedy and his niece Debbie Kennedy.
Joe was a long time employee with Canteen of Canada. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and camping.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday (today), February 16, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation and a private interment will take place at a later date.
