1931 -2008
Ella died peacefully, at Tabor Manor in St. Catharines, on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers. She was 76.
Beloved wife of the late Hardy Klassen who predeceased her October 21, 2003 and loving mother of Bruce who died November 28, 2007. She was also predeceased by her sister Lena Thiessen and her parents, Marie (Fehderau) and John Thiessen.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ann and her husband Jeff Taylor of Waterloo and Gord Klassen and his wife Laurene of St. Catharines. Her five grandchildren will fondly remember their Grandma, Hayden and Brock Taylor, Brady, AJ and Jillian Klassen. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Nettie and her husband Vic Willms, Susan and her husband Peter Klassen of St. Catharines, John Thiessen of Castle Rock, Co; brother-in-law Rudy Klassen and his wife Erika of New Hamburg and her nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Ella with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, February 15, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A private family interment will take place on Saturday morning, February 16 at Memory Gardens.
A service to celebrate Ellas life and faith will be held at Glencairn Mennonite Brethren Church, 725 Erinbrook Drive, Kitchener, on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at 2 pm, with Pastor Bill Stubbs officiating.
