Died peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the age of 68 years.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Jack (Monica) Sullivan, Bill (Audrey) Sullivan of North Bay, Raymond (Kathy) Sullivan of Sturgeon Falls, her sisters Betty (Ray) Novokowsky, Arlene (Jim) Fedy all of Kitchener and Patricia (Roger) Kenyon of Caledon East, and her sister-in-law Marthe LeDoux Sullivan of Ottawa. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Mary is predeceased by her parents Arlene and Victor Sullivan, her sister and brother-in-law Theresa (Ian) Houston all of North Bay, and her brother Michael Sullivan of Ottawa.
Mary was a dedicated nurse having worked in Thunder Bay, Sault Ste Marie and as an administrator at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston. After retiring, she moved to Waterloo and served on two committees at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Marys dear friend Bonnie MacKinnon for her devoted friendship and thoughtful care during her illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes Street West, Waterloo on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 10:30 am with the Rev. Edward Sheridan as Celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
Arrangements will be forwarded to McGuinty Funeral Home, North Bay (705-472-8520) for Mass of Christian Burial and Cremation. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, North Bay.
In lieu of flowers, prayers for the repose of Marys immortal soul will be most appreciated. In living memory of Mary, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning program by the funeral home.
