<h1>Richard Matzeg</h1> 1956 – 2006 Suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Waterloo on December 8, 2006, at the age of 50 years. Loving husband of Jayne (nee Engeneski). Devoted father of Daniel and Adrienna. Will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Rudolf and Regina Matzeg; father and mother-in-law, John and Helen Engeneski; sister-in-law, Dana Matzeg; brother-in-law, Michael Engeneski; and his nephews, Derek, Dwayne and Daryl Matzeg. Also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins in both Canada and Germany. Predeceased by his brother Otto Matzeg in 1994. Rick was a professional engineer and was employed with Canada Revenue Agency as a Research and Technology Advisor for the past 4 years. Prior to that he spent 25 years with Owens Corning, previously known as Fiberglas Canada. He also enjoyed helping out with causes that were dear to his heart through the K-W Kinsmen Club. He spent all of his spare time devoted to his family and will be especially missed by his loving wife and children. Friends are invited to share their memories of Rick with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, December 11 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where Parish Prayers will be held at 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Piotr Machnacki as celebrant. Interment in Parkview Cemetery. Following the interment friends are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
