Obituary of Betty Hill
Betty Hill 1933 - 2006
Passed away, peacefully, with family by her side, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, after a short, courageous battle with cancer on December 5, 2006 at the age of 73 years.
Cherished wife of 45 years to the late Frank Hill (2002). Loving mother of Rick and his wife Heather of Clinton Township, Michigan, David and his wife Kim of London, and Joanne Hergott and her husband Brad of Waterloo. Proud Nana of Chris, Michelle, Nicholas, Allyssa, Lauryn and Lindsay. Betty is survived and missed by many relatives and friends throughout Ontario.
Betty enjoyed golfing and curling and completed over 600 kilometers of the Bruce Trail with her hiking companions. Betty also became a world traveler visiting such countries as England, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Italy and the Caribbean. Her passions included making, bottling, and sampling her own wine and spending time with family and friends. Betty will be forever remembered for her unmatched energy, her feistiness and her strong sense of independence.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Betty with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm . Visitation will continue on Saturday December 9 from 12:30 - 1:45 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Betty?s life will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm.
Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.
Cremation will take place with private interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo at a later date.
