<h1>George Rush</h1> November 4, 1918 – December 31, 2006 George passed away suddenly at the Village of Winston Park, on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at the age of 88 years. He is now in the presence of his Lord and reunited with his loving wife. George was predeceased by his beloved wife Janet on November 15, 2006. As a loving father, his memory will be cherished by his three children, John and his wife Wendy of Conestogo, Betty Anne and her husband Ken Behrns of Waterloo and David and his wife Melanie of Kitchener. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Heather, Sarah, Allison, Amy, Jennifer, Warren, Aaron, Nicholas and Emerald. George will also be sadly missed by his sister Veronica Johnston. He was predeceased by his parents, Clara (Heckendorn) and Eby Rush, and his brothers, Stuart and Robert Rush. As a young man, George served with the Canadian Army, in England, during the War. Once returned to civilian life, he began his career as an accountant in the Savings Department at the Waterloo Trust and Savings Company. In 1983, George retired as an analyst in the Mortgage Department at Canada Trust. George always had a kind word to share and a smile to give. His presence will be greatly missed. Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate George’s life and faith will be held at Faith Evangelical Missionary Church, 3849 King Street East, Kitchener, on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Richard Kopanke officiating. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Following the committal service at the cemetery, friends and relatives are invited to return to Faith Evangelical Missionary Church for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
