1926 - 2010
Passed away peacefully at St. Marys General Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday January 4th 2010, at the age of 83 years.
Marg was born in Alberta in 1926, and married David H. Johnston in December 1946 in Edmonton Alberta. They soon moved to Ontario, and there raised their family. She is survived by:
Daughter Jan & Harv Heinmiller of Wingham, and their children Dave (London), Don (Kitchener), and Jennie & Ron Clark and great-grandchildren Justine & Nicholas (Wingham).
Daughter Marg & Fred Walther (Ayr) and their children Sara & Eric Mills (Vancouver B.C.), Megan & Tim Blair (Waterloo), and Ian.
Son Jim of Rusagonis, NB and his children David & Teresa (Victoria, B.C.), Laura (PEI) and Bobby.
Predeceased by husband David (1979) and son Bob (2007).
Marg was an avid volunteer with I.O.D.E., Red Feather (United Way), Sunbeam Home and St. Marys Hospital. She loved to create with her hands, knitting numerous hats, mitts, & scarves for family and those in need.
The world lost an avid Bridge, Euchre, and Solo player. We would like to express our great appreciation to the staff at St. Marys Hospital and Emmanuel Village.
She will be missed terribly, but we are happy that she can now breathe easily.
