<h1>Grant McVey</h1> 1918-2006 Passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at age 88. Loving and devoted husband of Kathleen; devoted father of David and his wife Lynn, John and his wife Janice, Janice and her husband Andrew, and Patricia and her partner Jeff Nickel; proud grandfather of David, Kelly, and Ryan McVey, Jeffrey, Laura, and Robert McVey, Emily, Kenneth, and Drew Jackson, and Christina, Lauren, Michael, and Aaren Gatchene; great-grandfather of Jacob, Marcus, and Lucas Nelson, and Kaleb, Keegan, and Cynthia McVey. Grant was predeceased by his parents, John and Myrtle McVey of Erie, Pennsylvania. Grant was born June 18, 1918 in Winnipeg and has lived in Waterloo since 1965. He was a graduate of McMaster University and later retired from the staff of the University of Waterloo. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and took tremendous pride in the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Grant’s life will be held in the chapel of the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, Jan 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Rev.
