Obituary of Joan Gleeson

<h1>Joan Gleeson</h1> “Bling-Bling” 1918 – 2009 Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Joan is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Gleeson. She is survived by her son John Gleeson and his late wife Vivian. She was a role model for her grandchildren, Scott (Tracy) Gleeson, Kerri (Jeff) Currier and Andrea Gleeson (Steve Bell). “Bling-Bling” will be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren Max, Tyler and Owen as well as her special friends that she considered as family, Todd (Judy) Laitar, Darleen Clay, Kristen Boorse (Thomas) and Tamara Hundt. Born in London, England, Joan moved to Ottawa, Ontario when she was a young child. She worked for over 30 years in administration for Bell Canada where she met her husband. After retiring to Waterloo to be closer to family, she enjoyed a long and active life taking frequent trips to Florida and enjoying the company of her friends. These people made a significant difference in her life and she cherished each and every one of you. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation will have taken place and a private family interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
