Cecil passed away, peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, December 29, 2007, in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of Winnie Rees of Waterloo for 20 years. Dearly loved father of Gail Schneider and husband Ross of Waterloo. Step-father to Harrison Rees and wife Patricia, Boyd Rees and wife Judy, Stephanie Kaitting, Frank Rees and wife Joanna, Leslie Rees and husband Daniel Leduc, Grant Rees and wife Sylvia, Colin Rees and wife Cheryl Packham, and Edith Veenhof. Also remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers, Ralph Kesselring of Waterloo and Donald Kesselring and wife Gerry of Waterloo, sisters, Florence Sheehy of Waterloo, Doris Hoffer of Waterloo and Ruth Pinzhoffer of Kitchener.
Predeceased by his first wife Dorine (nee Mank) in 1987, parents Harvey and Elva (Stauffur) Kesselring and brother Carl Kesselring.
Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Cecil during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, Monday, December 31 from 2-4 pm only. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from 10 to 11am with the funeral service following in the chapel at 11 am. Canon Christopher Pratt officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room at the funeral home. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau to follow.
