1929-2009
Sadly we announce the passing of Nancy at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, December 23, in her 80th year. She is survived by her loving husband, Doug, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Suzanne and her husband Jeff Kienapple of Waterloo and son Dee (Doug Jr.) of Cambridge. Nancy was a cherished grandma to Kate, Matt and Noah Kienapple and Owen Reeve. She will also be lovingly remembered by her mother Phine Fortier of Trois Rivieres, PQ; sister Raymonde (Gaston) Dube of Piedmont PQ; Phina Houde (Roger) of Trois Rivieres, PQ, and her many neices and nephews both in Quebec and Ontario. Nancy was predeceased by her father Gerard Fortier.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Nancy with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29 at 11:00am. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Woodland Cemetery, London Ontario. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
