Passed away at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, with his daughter Geraldine and niece Evelyn by his side.
Loving husband of the late Rose (nee Giese), whom he married in 1943. Beloved father of Geraldine Lewis (Alex) and the late Joan Wilkinson and her surviving husband Albert; brother of Morris (Joan) and Leonard (Loretta); brother-in-law to Edna and Bernice, Nelda, and Earl (Ruth) and Harold; grandfather of Rick, Kevin (Peggy) and Danny (Viki), Kim, Derek (Kelly) and Travis (Cora) and Paula (Dale); great-grandfather to Amber, Cassandra, Taylor and Courtney, Netta and Duncan, Abby and Tess, Mary and Richard, Ashley and Aaron; great-great-grandfather of Kahlan and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Howard, Arnold, Albert and Ralph and In-laws Dorothy, Irene and John, Allen and Lorraine, Gloria, Bill and Jean, Russell and Nellie, Carl and Don.
Lorne was an active member of the Wilmot Rod and Gun Club as well as the Waterloo Knights of Columbus.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorne with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, December 20, 2009, from2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, December 21 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
