<h1>Greta Hunsberger</h1> 914 - 2008 Greta passed away peacefully at Pinehaven Nursing Home, on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at age 94. Predeceased by her husband Albert in 1998. Loving mother to her sons George (Stephanie), the late Bruce (2003) (Emily), and David (Ada). Devoted grandmother of Jeffrey (Anne), Matthew, Jill (Kevin) Dolishny, Paul (Dana), Carol, Avery, and Ariel. Great grandmother of Brittain, Cole, Reagan, Georgia, Reed and Eric. Greta was born Sept.14, 1914, daughter of Addison and Lydia Snider; predeceased by sister Verna Good, brothers Merle and Walton, brothers-in-law Gordon (Matilda), Wilson Hunsberger and Milton Good. She is survived by sisters-in-law Edith Hunsberger and Marjorie Snider. Greta’s life centered around her family and church. She enthusiastically contributed countless volunteer hours to the creation of wonderful quilts, comforters, clothes, knitted mittens and slippers; she coordinated and helped in the kitchen for church events and programs; she was a church historian, librarian, teacher and member of many committees. Greta’s community involvement included active participation with Home and School, 4-H, Women’s Institute, Quilters’ Guild, Self Help, and the Waterloo Historical Society. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Erb &amp; Good Funeral Home on Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 2 to 4 pm. The funeral service and reception to celebrate Greta’s life will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb St. W, Waterloo, 11 a.m. Monday December 15, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home, www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445. Thank you to the nursing home staff for attending to Greta’s needs and providing excellent care to her while she was at Pinehaven. In living memory of Greta, a donation to the Trees for Learning Program will be made by the funeral home.
