Violet Peacock passed away, after a brief stay, at the Westmount Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener, on Tuesday August 5, 2008, at the age of 95 years. Until June, she was an active resident at the Waterloo Heights retirement residence.
Violet was the cherished wife of the late Paul Peacock. She was the loving mother of Alan Peacock, Ross and Anne Peacock and adored grandmother of Grace, Gavin and Adam.
A life member of Calvary Memorial United Church and the Victory Class, Violet is fondly remembered as a former Sunday School teacher, a choir member, a leader in the UCW and as a skilled and dedicated quilter.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Violet with her family at a celebration service at Calvary Church, 91 Gruhn Street, Kitchener on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 11 a.m. Following the service, everyone is invited to join the family in the church hall for refreshments and reminiscences.
Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers or donations, friends are encouraged to offer a hand up to someone in need, as Violet did so often throughout her life.
