Passed away at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the age of 62.
Loving husband of Susan (nee Barnett) for 39 years. Devoted father of Andrew (Sara) and Sara (Peter). Proud grandfather of Noah. Also survived by his sister Laurel (David) Armstrong; brothers Robert (Donna) Macdonald and Christopher (Leslie) Macdonald; brother-in-law Brian (Laurie) Barnett; sister-in-law Linda (Kevin) Smith; mother-in-law Isabel Barnett and by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his parents Archena and Lorne Macdonald and by father-in-law Fred Barnett.
Bruce was employed by the Commissionaires for Home Hardware in St. Jacobs. He was a former Captain in the Highland Fusiliers of Canada.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Emmanuel United Church, 22 Bridgeport Rd. W., Waterloo on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Sweet officiating. Reception will follow the service in the Church Hall. A private family interment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery.

In living memory of Bruce a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
