Passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her home in Baden, on Saturday August 4, 2007 at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of the late Gerard Straus (June 12, 2007) for 57 years.
Loved mother of Ruth (Gary) Stinson of Weyburn, SK, Leona (Ron) Steffler of Hanover, Mike Straus of Baden, Charles (Kathy) Straus of Ayr, Eileen (Gerry) Ditner of Moorefield, Frank Straus (Trish) of Kitchener, Ray (Ruby) Straus of New Hamburg, Mary (Bill) McMahon of New Hamburg and Colette Straus of St. Agatha. Remembered by her grandchildren Paul, Steven, Anita, Jason, Shawn, Tanya, Devin, Josh, Duane, Amy, Kim, Natasha, Dylan, Angela, Jill, Lisa, James, Melissa, Jennifer, Mark, Michelle, Matthew, Brittany, Tim, Jolene, Franklin, Anthony, Krista, Brad, Gwen, Adam, Jean, Kathy, Julie, Billy and Jeff. Great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Theresa Glavin, Mary (Ted) Conlon, Gertie (John) Delisle, and Pete Ziler.
Predeceased by her infant daughter baby Jean; sisters Dorothy Dietrich, Jeanette Lee; and by her brothers Henry, Tom, and Lornie Ziler.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Helen with her family during an open house at 165 Foundry Street, Baden on Monday August 13, 2007 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment in St. Agatha RC Cemetery.
