Passed away following a stroke at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Monday, August 3, 2009 in her 90th year.
Julie was predeceased by her first husband Mattias Kunsch and her second husband Otto Hoheneder. She will be sadly missed by her beloved children Margaret Hirn and her husband Michael, Bill Kunsch and his wife Ruth and Herb Kunsch and his wife Janet. Loving Oma to Kathy Hirn, Christine Hirn, Elizabeth (Jamie Crane), Jocelyn Kunsch (Peter Truesdell) and Deborah Kunsch, and great-grandmother to Sarah Hirn-Takahashi and Madeline Crane. Julie is also survived by her niece Betty and nephew Herb as well as their families. She was also predeceased by her sister Louise Beck.
Julie was born in a small village in Slovakia and came to Canada following the war. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered by all for her love of flowers and great cooking. Julie is a member of the German speaking congregation of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Kitchener.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Julie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 (tonight) from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 49 Queen Street North, Kitchener on Thursday, August 6 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Val Hennig officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm. Interment will follow at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
