<h1>Pauline Spencer</h1> 1954 – 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer, Pauline peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, at her home in Waterloo on Monday, August 3, 2009. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Nicole Delion; parents, Lyle and Reta (nee Noble) Spencer; sisters, Carol Spencer and partner Gary Huenemoeder and Susan Spencer-Gagne and husband Yvan Gagne; and niece and nephew, Sidney and Sean Gagne. Sadly missed by Gee Wong. Pauline was a graduate of the University of Waterloo, employed by Wilfrid Laurier University as Associate Registrar/Student Awards for 24 years and will be remembered by her many colleagues, students and friends. Pauline’s greatest passion was riding and taking care of her horse Bailey, and through riding, she developed some of her strongest friendships. Pauline came to think of Ineke Boa, her riding coach, as her best friend and a comfort in times of need. Under Ineke’s tutelage, Pauline won first place in the Showmanship Class at the 2008 Milverton Horse Show. A special thanks to Dr. Tan, Dr. Keleher and Dianne Osborne, RN for providing care with both compassion and professionalism. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Pauline during memorial visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 6 from 7-9 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Linda Ashfield officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.
