Passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Monday, August 25, 2008 in her 91st year.
Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill and her son, Wayne. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Evelyn Lacey (Doug), Audrey Good (Harold), Helen Ann Frank (Peter), Donald Gilmore (Carole), Earle Gilmore (Carole) and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Margaret Shantz (Earl). Doris will also be missed by her special friends, Muriel Thomas, George Clapham and Jennifer Lloyd-Smith. She was also predeceased by her sister Jean.
Doris made numerous friends throughout her life keeping herself involved in many activities. She was involved with Emmanuel United Church and enjoyed her time volunteering for the Red Cross as well as sitting on their Board of Directors.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Doris during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 from 9:30 - to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home immediately following the service. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
