<h1>Herbert Hackbart</h1> Passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Verna Hackbart (2006). Loving father of Murray Hackbart, Joyce (Wayne) Gerber, Marlene (Paul) Ming and Joan (Neil) Gray. Proud and Loving grandfather of David (Laura) Gerber, Angela (Chris) Schyff, Jennifer Ming, Sherri (Matt) Ming, Candice and Danielle Gray as well as great-grandfather of Siarah, Taesha, Calem, Keegan, Shaun, Hailey and Claire. Herbert is also survived by his sister Margaret Brown. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary Ann Hackbart, brothers Carl, Alfred and Kenneth and sisters Marie and Freida. Herbert was a loving and caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Herbert and Verna farmed for 40 years in North Easthope Township. His passions included ballroom dancing and fishing. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Herbert with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, August 27 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment will take place at Rush’s Cemetery, Wellesley following the reception.
