1920 - 2007
Joe passed away following a lengthy illness at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Friday, August 24, 2007, at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Hackbart) for 56 years. Predeceased by his son Michael in 1993. Joe is survived by his brother Sam (Marilyn) of Winnipeg, sisters Vivian Popwell of Glace Bay, NS, Marina MacDonald of Charlottetown, PEI, and Mabel (Ron) Dalton of Waterloo.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Brown, brothers Urban, James, Pat, Rod, and Sandford and sisters Mabel and Marian Brown and Gertrude Heit.
Before retiring, Joe worked for Marsland Engineering for 30 years and as a security guard with Barber Collins until age 86.
A private family service was held followed by cremation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo.
