Obituary of Dianne Dawson

Dianne Dawson
(MONTEYNE) 1951-2009 Passed away at home on August 17, 2009 after a courageous struggle with colon cancer. Gone long before expected, she will be deeply missed by her husband Lorne; daughter; Leslie Monteyne; sister, Patricia Lee; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Patricia Solomway; and nephew and niece, Casey and Corry. Dianne was gifted with a bright mind, generous spirit, the capacity to love deeply, and the skill to bake the best apple pies in the world. Dianne grew up in Simcoe and worked in the insurance industry throughout her career, in Toronto, Vancouver, Cambridge and elsewhere. But she should have become the teacher she aspired to be in her youth, since we have all learned so much from her about being better at whatever we do. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Church of the Holy Saviour, 33 Allen St. E., Waterloo, at 1 p.m. with the Venerable Peter T. Townsend officiating. The service will be followed by the interment of her cremated remains at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo and reception at the Dawson family home. Condolences for the family and donations to Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo, www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
