<h1>Lorne Bender</h1> 1919 - 2007 Lorne Edward Bender, age 88, passed away peacefully and with great courage in the arms of his loving daughters at Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, on Monday August 13, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Ruby Bender (nee Golbeck). Cherished dad of Barb (Bruce) Wendling, Pat (the late Paul) Bender, Mary (the late Doug) Hannusch, Lynda (Dave) Weber, and Anne (Bob) Cheeseman. Precious Grandpa and Papa of 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Brother of Ruth (Fred) Seiling and brother-in-law of Ruth (the late Harold) Golbeck. Predeceased by his parents Leah and Edward Bender, his brother Earl Bender, and by his sister Marie Sobisch. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorne with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday August 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Lorne’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday August 18, 2007 at 10 am with Rev. Robert Snell officiating. Reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Private family interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
