Obituary of Rita Reichert

<h1>Rita Reichert</h1> 1929 – 2010 Passed away on Sunday August 1, 2010 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 81 years. Much loved by her son Clark and his wife Elizabeth, as well as her grandchildren Kurt and Myles. Dear sister of Renate Müller of Germany. Also lovingly remembered by her relations and friends in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and Germany. Predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Karl-Heinz Reichert in 2009 as well as her parents Fritz and Hermine Brandt (nee Becker). Rita was born on June 20, 1929 in Bremen, Germany and arrived in Canada in 1952 living first in Vancouver where she married Karl that same year before they relocated to Kitchener in 1958. Rita was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1995. For the 10 years prior to her passing she acted as sole caregiver to Karl who slowly succumbed to the ravages of Alzheimer's disease. Rita has been awarded for her volunteer service with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Following cremation a private family memorial service will be held.
