<h1>Brian Irvine</h1> BRIAN IRVINE Devoted father. Thoughtful friend. Caring neighbour. Athlete. Life-long coach and teacher. Nature lover. Brian’s spirit passed peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones, on Wednesday, April 8 2009. Lovingly remembered by daughters Colleen (Matt McLean) and Meghan (Andrew MacDonald), partner Ginny Marshall, sister Sandra and her children Ngaire and Andrew, of Vancouver; predeceased by parents Robert and Grace Irvine (nee Scharman). An alumnus of the University of Waterloo, Brian was inducted into the Hall of Fame honouring his outstanding football career with the Warriors. Brian was a teacher in Waterloo for over 30 years at Waterloo Collegiate, Cameron Heights, and Grand River secondary schools. After his retirement, he enjoyed golf, bridge, curling, and skiing with friends. Brian approached life and death with grace and dignity, inspiring those he touched along his journey. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Brian during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, April 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 11 am.
