<h1>Anthony "Tony" Warnholtz</h1> 1919 – 2009 Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital in his 90th year. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Pigeon) for 67years. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Bill Warnholtz (Joy), sister Edith Ellert and sister-in-law Marjorie Wiles (Bill) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Julius Warnholz and Katherine (nee Snyder), his brother Jerome Warnholz during the Second World War, brothers Douglas and Joseph Warnholz, sisters Madeline Elrick and Betty Dietrich, and brothers-in-law Edward and Kenneth Pigeon. Tony served in the Second World War with the First Hussars Tank Division. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch No. 530 and the Waterloo Masonic Lodge Branch No. 539 as well as a member of the Shriners with whom he served as a Roadrunner, helping to bring children to the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Vistation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Tuesday April 7) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Legion service will begin at 6:45 p.m., prior to evening visitation. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow at the Waterloo Legion, Branch 530, 19 Regina St. N., Waterloo. Donations in memory of Tony may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530 or the Shriners Children’s Hospital and can be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Tony a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
