Obituary of Richard Schell

<h1>Richard "Ric" Schell</h1> 1947 – 2009 Ric passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on April 30th 2009. Loving husband to his wife Linda (Lotz). Amazing father to Devin and her husband Jack Harrison of Barrie, Dori and her husband Cory Gray of Barrie, Chad and his wife Stacey Dietrich of Waterloo and Ashley Schell of Waterloo. Loving grandfather to Taylor and Eden Gray of Barrie, Jake, Andrew, Brandon and Catherine Harrison of Barrie and Brody Dietrich of Waterloo. Loving son to Lorne Schell and to his mother Mary Martha Schell who predeceased him. Loving brother to Larry and Jan Schell of Alberta and Mark and Elisa Schell of Petersburg. During his working career he held positions at the Record, Pattison Sign, Eby Town Motors, Dean Myers Chrysler and most recently Forbes Waterloo Toyota. Beyond his love for his family, Ric had a passion for golf, hockey, baseball and cars. He also had a love for mentoring of sports. Ric enjoyed spending countless hours in his workshop. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Califaretti, Dr. Jakda and Martha, Dr. Panjwani, Dr. Keleher, Heather, Trisha, Erin and Dana. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ric with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Ric’s life will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 2 p.m., the Rev. Paul Hartig officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. In living memory of Ric, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
