Passed away at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the age of 83 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Patrick and his wife Elena, her grandchildren, Raechel and Katherine, and former husband, J. Michael Bensusan (Betty Ann Acres). She was predeceased by her son, Tim in 2005, her brother Patrick Kilbride and sister, Catherine Spencer.
Helen was a dedicated employee at the University of Waterloo for 25 years holding various positions until retiring in 1990 as the Graduate Registrar. She was also an advocate for the United Way serving as a lead fundraiser. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and will also be sadly missed by the staff and residents at Victoria Place where she most recently resided.
A memorial service will be held in the Notre Dame Chapel of St. Jeromes College, 290 Westmount Rd. N., Waterloo, on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Edward Sheridan officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Burgundy Room of the Faculty Club. To honour Helens wishes and further the education of others, her body has been donated to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
