Passed away at Columbia Forest in Waterloo on April 22, 2010 at the age of age of 90.
Loving mother of Melbourne (Karen) Hagey of Kitchener, Jeanette (Gary) Eisert of Arizona and Sherwood Hagey of Waterloo; proud grandmother of Cynthia (Todd) Schneider, David (Elizabeth) Hagey, Heather (Nilton) Lopes; great-grandmother to 10 wonderful great-grandchildren. Grace will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Laurene (Orval) Quantz; sisters-in-law, Myrle, Edna and Eleanor Becker; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Gisela) Spachman, Fred Spachman and Gustav (Renate) Spachman; son-in-law, Bernie Hodgson, and by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Erhard Spachman; daughter, Sharon Hodgson; brothers, Mervin, Clarence, Ross and Earl Becker; sisters-in-law, Hilda Becker and Olga Spachman; and by her parents Herbert Becker and Eva (nee Brown).
A memorial service in celebration of Graces life will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bruce Sweet officiating. A reception will follow the service. Private family interment will take place prior in Rosebank Community Cemetery.
