<h1>Hedley Burrell</h1> 1926 – 2008 Hedley passed away, following a courageous battle with cancer, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at the age of 81 (going on 65). Hedley was born May 4, 1926 in Chatham to the late Archibald and Violet (Cobbett) Burrell. Beloved husband and soulmate of Cheryl Burrell (nee Stevens) for 28 years. Dear father of Debbie Goossen (Bob Dawson) of Thamesville, Mike Burrell (Natalie) of New Hamburg, Darcie Burrell of Waterloo and Dee Constant (Roy) of Kitchener. Grandfather of Sven (Sandra), Wes, David, Sara, Dan (Bev), Penny (Mark), and Lee (Rebecca) and great-grandfather of 10. Survived by his brothers Donald Burrell (Winnifred) of Brampton, Ken Burrell (Barb) of St. Catharines as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Brother-in-law to Garry Stevens (Marilyn) and Jim Stevens (Barb), all of Kitchener. Predeceased by sisters Audrey Reeve and Hilda Crane. A special thank you is extended to the C.C.A.C., the Team 7 nurses from Care Partners, Dr. Rachaconda, Dr. Donna Ward, Dr. Alex Moolman, nurses on 8A, especially Louise and Brenda, and in particular, Eva, for her sensitivity and compassion in Hedley’s final hours. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Hedley with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo, on Friday, April 25 from 7-9 and on Saturday, April 26 from 12 noon to 1 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm, Saturday with Rev. Paul Ellingham officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment at Memory Gardens at a later date. All are invited to remain at the funeral home for a reception immediately after the service.
