On April 22, 2007 passed away peacefully after an unexpected and brief battle with cancer with his loving children Guillermo, Fernanado and Macarena by his side and cared for by his long time colleagues and nurses at the grand River Hospital. Survived also by his wife Maria Amalia, he will always be remembered by his entire family, especially the Chaparro family, his extended family in Peru and his 6 grandchildren-Rosa, Fernando, Victoria, Nicholas, Diego and Sofia.
