Obituary of Rosemary Strome

<h1>Rosemary "Rosie" Strome</h1> 1933 – 2009 Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, at the age of 76. Cherished mother of Laurie Strome, Kathryn (Ray) Hamblin, and Stephen (Sheree) Strome. Beloved Gramma of Angelique (Darryl), Shauna (John), Kenny (Heather), Candice, and Ryan. Nanna Rosie will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Courtney, Caitlyn, Edward, Laura, Daimen, Alyssa, and Khloe Roza. Survived by her brother Harry Montag. Predeceased by siblings Jim, Francis, and Edward Montag, and Margaret Bastin. As a founding member of the Sunnydale Community Centre Rosemary was able to share her love for the community with the children that attend the many programs. The family would like to thank the staff of Freeport and Community Care Access for the wonderful care and support they provided for Rosie. Honouring Rosie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A barbeque will be held at the Community Centre to celebrate her life and commitment to the community on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association may be arranged through the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
