<h1>Robert "Bob" Dietrich</h1> 1926 – 2009 After an afternoon of entertaining people on his fiddle, Bob died unexpectedly, but peacefully, at his home on Saturday, April 18, 2009. He would have celebrated his 83rd birthday this Wednesday. Bob was the beloved husband of Mary (Esbaugh) for almost 60 years. He was the loved and respected father of Doug and Tracey Dietrich, Joanne and Stephen Koenig, and Julianne and Michael Dreisinger. Loving Papa of Shawn (Angie) Dietrich, Cheryl Frederiksen, Shannon (Oscar) Oliu, Kelly, Kyle and Nicole Koenig, and Ainsley and Alex Dreisinger. Great-Papa of Tyler, Tyson, Mya, and Dylan. Brother of Beatrice and James Ross, twin sister Gertrude Kuehner and Bernetta Wettlaufer and Dorothy Ott. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosetta (Forwell) and Alex Dietrich. Besides Bob’s love of family and friends, he enjoyed music and a good card game. He was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Parish, and served as an usher for over 30 years. Along with Ernie Cassell, he co-owned and operated Busy Corner Garage, Waterloo, for over 40 years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, April 21 from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 p.m., visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 22 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s RC Church, 240 Hemlock St., Waterloo, on Thursday, April 23, at 12 noon with Rev. Cornelius J. O’Mahony as celebrant. A reception will immediately follow in the Parish Hall. Interment in St. Clements RC Cemetery.
