Obituary of Marie Walker

<h1>Marie Walker</h1> 1919 – 2009 Passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009 surrounded by her family at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 89. Devoted and loving mother of Sandra Logel (David) of Kitchener, Sharon Armstrong (Barry) of Langley, B.C. and Robert “Bob” Walker (Catherine Green) of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Grant Frend (Lia), Bradley Frend (Melissa) and Jonathon Walker (Britt) and great-grandmother of Jaelyn and Brady. Also survived by her sister Yvonne Pagani and by sister-in-law Dorothy Marquardt (Ralph). Predeceased by her beloved husband Harry Walker on October 1, 2003, her parents Roy Hammar and Elizabeth (nee Linseman), brother Chris Hammar, sister-in-law Helen Hammar and brother-in-law Dick Pagani. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of the staff at Conestoga Lodge, Leisureworld in Elmira, and the K-W Health Centre Emergency Room as well as the 5th Floor, A-Wing. The compassionate care given to Marie will not be forgotten. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with Parish Prayers at 3:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s RC Church, 85 Strange St., Kitchener on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. James Boudreau as celebrant. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the interment friends are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments.
