<h1>Dorothy Bechtel</h1> Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Beloved wife of Lester Bechtel, the late John Worden (1994) and the late Orval Lichty (1975). Loving mother of the late Richard Lichty (1998) and his wife Mary, Phyllis Jantzi and her husband Wayne, Steve Lichty, Sandy Winfield and her husband Bruce, Mark Lichty, and Roger Lichty and his wife Jennifer Meade. She will be deeply missed by Cindy Lichty, Cate Falconer Lichty, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also remembered by the Worden family, Linda Mitrevics, Rae and Patti Worden, Lois Gascho, their children, and the Bechtel family. Dear sister of Edward and Laurene Zehr, and sister-in-law of Helena Zehr, Emily Zehr, Elsie Lebold, and Mary McKay. Predeceased by siblings, Austin Zehr (2008), Elizabeth Zehr (2009) and husbands, Eldon Wagler and Amos Zehr, Elmer Zehr (2009) and wife Violet, Ada Yantzi (2006) and husband Oliver. Dorothy was a former member and Chair of the Board of Governors of Conrad Grebel University College, a former member and Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of Conestoga College, a former Municipal Councillor in Wellesley Township, and a life member of Stratford General Hospital Auxilliary. She was also an active contributor to numerous horticultural, community, and church organizations. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dorothy with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. A family graveside service will be held prior to the funeral service, which will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wilmer Martin officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
