<h1>William "Bill" Witt</h1> 1935 – 2010 After a brief struggle with leukemia, Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, April 12, 2010 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Sharon Witt. Dear father of Shane Witt and wife Christine of Waterloo and Lori Taylor and husband David of Woodbridge. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Travis and Jordan Witt, both of Waterloo and Keegan, Bryson, Corbin, and Shiana Taylor, all of Woodbridge. Bill is survived by his brothers, Gorden Witt and wife Jean of Kitchener, Harold Witt and wife Verna of Barrie, Ron Witt and wife Linda of Waterloo; sisters, Ruby Kesselring of Kitchener and Marlene Wakutz and husband George of Coldstream, B.C.; sisters-in-law, Betty Galley and husband Richard of Flamborough and Carol Town of Listowel; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents, William and Elfrieda (Allensen) Witt. Bill retired in 1991 from Waterloo North Hydro after 34 years of service. He loved all aspects of the outdoors, especially riding his bike around the city. Bill was an avid golfer, bowler and horseshoe player. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, making new friends wherever he went and his love of playing cards. We will always cherish the good times that we shared and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Bill during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, April 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 16 from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m., followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m., Friday with Rev. Heidi Wachowiak officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room. Cremation to follow. Special thanks to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Robert Stevens, his nurse Cathy, and the 6th floor nursing staff especially Heather, Rebecca, and Louise.
